The Salvation Army Greater New York Division has been a steadfast presence in the New York City area since 1880, serving the five boroughs, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson Valley. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination—offering food, shelter, disaster relief, after-school programs, and more. Through our 38 community centers and numerous social service programs, we work to uplift the most vulnerable members of our community and help them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
